27th Annual Bedford VA Hospital Mid-Winter Powwow

This event kicks off our year of public events.  Here you will have the chance to dance, hear native drumming and singing.  This event is open to the public and traders are present so you can browse and purchase their unique native items.
 
Spring Cleanup & Council Meeting

Spring cleanup is done every year by volunteers to make sure that the forest is clean and free of debris for our Spring Planting Festival. This event is open to any and all volunteers who wish to help.  We will be meeting in the forest at 10:00am. There will be no traders at this event.

Spring planting ceremony is done every year to honor the ways of our ancestors in planting the three sisters (corns, beans and squash).   We will be meeting in the forest at 10:00am. There will be no traders at this event.
 
Men’s Day

Men’s day is an event for men only.  It is held so that the men may get together and learn native crafts and traditions.  Men who plan to attend should be at least 13 years of age. There will be no traders at this event.

Women’s day is an event for women only.  It is held so that the women may get together and learn native crafts and traditions from a women's perspective.  There will be no traders at this event.

36th Annual Bedford VA Hospital Powwow

This is our biggest Powwow of the year.  Here you will have the chance to dance, hear native drumming and singing.  This event is open to the public and camping is encouraged.
 
 
Harvest Festival

At the fall Harvest Festival you can participate in the Native American Harvest and learn more about our culture and ceremonies. There will be no traders at this event.
